Yes, we have established Universal Credit Action Network (UCAN), the only forum that brings charities, trade unions, lawyers, community activists, journalists and anyone who is interested in spreading the message of cause of poverty in Britain, and promote policy solutions to make a better society for the well-being of communities who are left behind. We need to be bold; not only that. We need to be seen to be bold.
UCAN is at the forefront in educating and informing members of the public on the underlying cause of poverty due to the implementation of welfare reform in by expert evidence, providing speakers and building bridges with individuals and organisation.
UCAN was set up in October 2019 in East London when like minded individuals from Tower Hamlets got together to raise public awareness of the implication of universal Credit in London.
As you can see from this video: activists explain, in their own words, what universal credit means to them and their families.
